# About Me
##### MBACP Integrative Counsellor | South Lakes, Cumbria
Hello, I'm Theresa
I'm an integrative counsellor and MBACP registered therapist specialising in trauma, complex trauma, and developmental trauma. Based in South Lakes, Cumbria, I offer in-person, 'Walk-and-Talk' and online therapy for adults seeking to heal from past wounds, navigate life's challenges, and create lasting change.
My work is rooted in a simple belief: "***you are not broken, and healing is possible.***"
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or patterns you can't seem to break, I'm here to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore, process, and heal at your own pace.
##### My Journey to This Work
I came to therapy through both personal experience and professional training. Like many therapists, my journey into this field was personal before it became professional - I understand what it's like to search for answers, make sense of difficult feelings, and seek healing.
My coaching background informs my therapeutic approach in meaningful ways. Before specialising in therapy, I worked as a coach supporting people through career transitions, leadership development, and personal growth. This experience taught me the power of goal-setting, accountability, and strengths-based approaches - elements I integrate into my therapeutic work when appropriate.
This combination of personal understanding, therapeutic expertise, and coaching experience allows me to meet you exactly where you are - with empathy, without judgment, and with genuine belief in your capacity to heal and grow.
